The Saskatoon Community Clinic works in partnership with many agencies. Your health care provider can help you find community resources that may be of assistance to you in managing you or your family’s health. Following is a listing of agencies to which our health care providers commonly refer:

CHEP Good Food Inc. 

Works with children, families and communities to improve access to good food and promote food security. They offer a variety of programs that include:

Community Fresh Food Markets & Seniors Stores

These programs help improve access to affordable, fresh produce and basic kitchen staples. CHEP partners with organizations like churches, schools and senior residences to offer the programs on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.

Collective Kitchens

A collective kitchen is a small group of people who pool their resources to make healthy, affordable bulk meals. The Collective Kitchens program supports groups in starting or continuing a collective kitchen and offers annual leadership training for community members. The program is a partnership between CHEP, Saskatoon Health Region and Saskatoon Community Clinic.

Community Gardens

Individuals and families can access a network of gardening plots to grow fresh produce. Many gardens also offer communal areas where neighbourhood residents are invited to harvest small amounts of produce. Gardens may be located on municipal or private land, school grounds or church properties.

Saskatoon Council on Aging (SCOA)

A community based non-profit organization dedicated to promoting positive aging for all members of our community. It strives to achieve its mission by providing programs and services to promote dignity, health and independence of older adults. Council services include a Resource Centre, Drop-in programs and Caregiver Information and Support.

Directory of Services and Social Activities for Older Adults 

This comprehensive directory is produced annually by the Saskatoon Council on Aging and is designed to offer information about resources, services and social activities to be used by older adults in the Saskatoon area, their families and caregivers as well as interested agencies, groups and institutions. Saskatoon Crisis Intervention Service (SCIS)

Provides comprehensive crisis response services to individuals and families 24 hours each day, 365 days of the year. This service includes crisis counselling and conflict management, provided over the phone, in the SCIS office or in the home. Following initial interventions, referrals for ongoing support may be provided.

Saskatoon Services for Seniors

Is a not-for-profit, charitable organization dedicated to providing services that enable older adults (55+), seniors and physically challenged individuals  to reside independently in their own homes for as long as possible.

Global Gathering Place (GGP)

A non-profit organization offering a drop-in centre that provides services for immigrants and refugees in Saskatoon. Staff and volunteers are available to help newcomers adapt to life in Canada by offering support and skill development, acceptance, and a welcoming environment. They work in partnership with community and immigrant-serving agencies, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), and a wide network of private and government funders.

Saskatoon Open Door Society 

Established in 1980 as a centre to welcome and assist refugees and immigrants moving to Saskatoon. Services include:

  • Settlement support for families and individuals • Community support services
  • Language training and daycare

Saskatoon Sexual Health (formerly Planned Parenthood Saskatoon Centre)

A youth-friendly, pro-choice charitable organization. We serve Saskatoon and the surrounding community, providing sexual health information and resources, low-cost birth control, pregnancy options counseling and support, and doctor referrals.

OUTSaskatoon

Believes in the equity of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, two spirit, intersex, and queer people. They provide peer support and counselling, queer-specific education and resources, outreach, social gatherings and events, community referrals, and sexual health services. We support body, mind and spirit within a growing and changing community.

Sanctum Care Group

Provides a ten bed hospice for Saskatoon’s most vulnerable persons who are experiencing chronic illness as a result of their HIV positive status and who need specialized assistance in managing symptoms of their disease as well as other psycho-social and practical support. The hospice

provides around-the-clock care for those HIV positive persons who have social and high risk behaviours and conditions, including homelessness, that prevent them from properly caring for themselves.

Camp Kindling, the Saskatchewan Co-operative Youth Program (Co-op Camp)

Has been leading Co-operative Youth Education in the province for more than 90 years. Camp Kindling is a series of camps throughout July and August where youth ages 12 to 18 from all across Saskatchewan come together to meet new people, develop leadership skills, learn more about co-operatives and have a great time. All activities are participatory and interactive in nature and challenge participants to work together to solve challenges. There is also swimming, canoeing, volleyball, campfires, and other recreational activities. The Saskatoon Community Clinic, which is a co-operative, provides sponsorships for youth interested in participating in the camps.

Saskatoon Health Authority

The Saskatoon Community Clinic at both its Downtown and Westside sites partner with a number of Saskatoon Health Region programs in order to expand our range of services and enhanced coordinated care for patients. These programs include:
