The Community Health Services (Saskatoon) Association Ltd., better known as the Saskatoon Community Clinic¹, is looking for members who are interested in serving on our Board of Directors. If you care about community well‑being, co-operative values and want to help guide an organization committed to healthy people in a health community, we encourage you to consider running.

To be eligible, you must be a member of our co-operative, the Community Health Services (Saskatoon) Association Ltd.

What board members do
Board members help guide the Clinic’s direction and represent the voices of members and the community. Responsibilities include:
- Attending monthly Board meetings (Fourth Monday of the month, except July and December, 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.)
- Attending a day-long annual Board retreat
- Serving on at least one Board committee
- Participating in members’ meetings (Normally January and June)
- Preparing for meetings, reviewing materials and contributing to decisions
- Acting in accordance with CHSA policies, bylaws and legislation
New Board Members
New directors take part in a one‑day orientation, including governance training and an overview of CHSA programs and services.
Important dates
- May 22, 5:00 p.m. – Deadline to apply for CHSA membership
- June 1, 5:00 p.m. – Please let us know you plan to run (Nominations can still happen up to election time, but your information will not be included in the members’ AGM package).
- June 10 – Election at the AGM
Additional requirements
- Elected directors must complete a Criminal Record Check (see Policy GP‑23).
How your information is used
Information provided in your nomination is used for election purposes and may be shared with CHSA members and the public through meeting materials, the website, newsletters and reports.
